Golf cart dealer florida

You’ve probably watched someone riding around in a golf cart and thought – at least for a few seconds – that it would be fun to have one. Well, you’re right!

And your local golf cart dealer has a wide selection of new and pre-owned golf carts for you to choose from.

Most have 4-stroke engines, and they generally weigh about 1,000 pounds. Depending upon where you live, it may not be unusual for you to see them on the street as well as the golf course. Laws vary, but as a general rule golf carts are allowed to be operated wherever the posted speed limit is 35 mph or less. Top speeds range from 15 to 25 mph, and if a golf cart has been modified to reach a speed of 20 or more miles per hour, it is actually treated as a motor vehicle by the law.

The Villages, in Florida, is a good example of a community embracing the golf cart as all-purpose transportation. Its more than 70,000 residents – mostly retirees – enjoy about a hundred miles of specially-designed trails and can drive their carts on many of the local roadways.

Some people with large properties may find that used golf carts are a practical and economical way to travel around them. Battery life is typically two to three days.

A golf carts dealership inventory may include new and used models seating from two to 10 people. Some have cargo box capacity (average 370 pounds). Major brands include E-Z-GO Carts, Club Car, Club Car XRT and Bad Boy Buggies. Prices range from $3000 all the way up to $30,000 for some of the luxury models.

Ask your golf cart dealer about leasing programs, as well. And while you’re there, be sure to check the quality of the service department.

You should also know that the minimum age to drive a golf cart is 13 in Georgia, Alabama, California, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Vermont, and South Carolina. In other states, it’s 14 or 15.

It’s easy to find a golf cart dealer in states such as Florida, where the warmer weather permits them to be used almost year-round. So see what’s available and then join the many other people who are already enjoying the free-wheeling golf cart lifestyle!
