Toyota dealership

When you’re looking at used cars for sale, you may be surprised to learn that almost 40 million used cars change hands every year. While many of these cars are purchased through private-party transactions, a large percentage are purchased from car dealerships.

On average, any given vehicle will have 3 owners throughout its lifespan. It’s interesting to note that IHS Markit research predicts that by 2021, there will be 20 million vehicles that are over 25 years old on the road. Have you been driving the same vehicle for a while? If you’re not sure what make and model you want to buy yet, why not consider taking a Toyota Prius or a Ford for a test drive?

The Toyota Prius

This vehicle was first introduced and on the market almost 20 years ago. It continues to be the best-selling, mass-market hybrid vehicle in the world.

Hybrid vehicles are popular for a variety of reasons, particularly because they receive good gas mileage. The Prius Eco, for example, can get up to 58 miles per gallon driving around the city and 53 miles per gallon when out on the highway.

Ford Vehicles

If you’re interested in Fords for sale, then you may already know that the first-generation Ford Focus was released in 2000. At that time, it was available in 3 body styles:

  • The 3-door hatchback
  • The 4-door sedan
  • The 5-door wagon

A few years later in 2002, the 5-door hatchback was introduced.

By 2017, the Ford F-series became the best-selling truck in the United States for 40 years in a row. The F-250 has a standard 6.2-liter V-8 engine capable of reaching 385 horsepower.

Visit a Local Dealership to Learn More

Whether you’re interested in Fords for sale or a Toyota Prius, it makes sense to visit a local dealership to learn more. At that time, you can learn about the benefits of buying from a non-commissioned car dealer as well as other important details.

As recently as 2016, 2.6 million certified pre-owned vehicles were sold. When you visit the dealership, be sure to ask whether they have manufacturer certified pre-owned vehicles on the lot.
